Conditions of Hire of Containers

  

  1. Charges for all containers delivered to customers who do not have any long standing account with the company shall be paid to the lorry driver on delivery of containers for which the driver shall be authorised to issue a signed receipt

 

  1. The Customer shall ensure that the container is not misused or any fires lit therin.  If any such damage occurs the customer shall be held responsible and shall reimburse the owner the cost incurred in making good the damage.

 

  1. Whilst all reasonable care and common sense is exercised by the driver in the positioning of containers on delivery this is done in the final analysis on the customer’s instructions and as such becomes the customer’s responsibility until we return to collect the container.

 

  1. Murray Waste Recycling Ltd. shall be under no liability whatsoever to the customer for any damage caused whilst the vehicle is off the highway.

 

  1. It is a condition of hire that where a container is placed in a street or other potentially dangerous position that the customer is responsible for causing the container to be properly lighted at all times, in accordance with the Roads and Traffic Act 1993 as amended in 1999 and 2000 or any other statutory regulations.

 

  1. Murray Waste Recycling Ltd. reserves the right to collect the container after 5 calendar days unless other arrangements have been made.

 

  1. Containers must only be filled to 3 inches above top.
     

NOTE: “Local Authority Permits are required, at an additional charge, for skips left on the public roadways in some urban areas.  If one is required in your area a member of our staff will contact you prior to delivery of your skip.”
